US Postal Service achieving new high for quick shipping and record Shipments this Holiday Season.

The holiday season is all about spending time with friends and family, spreading cheer, and, inevitably, running around last-minute to find the perfect Christmas gift. Number of shopping malls recently announced extended hours shopping during this Christmas and New year Postal Service joined suit, extending location hours to ensure gifts are shipped in time for the holiday.Shipping services working around the clock to handle record package numbers this holiday season.

“We’re flexing our network and flexing our work staff,” said Postal Service spokesman David Rupert. “We’re sending out carriers at first light, as early as 6 a.m., and they’ll be out through the evening.”

With a 10% jump from the last year  in the home deliveries the Postal Service is breaking all-time package delivery records this holiday season According to the officials all post offices are extending their operational hours including one in Duluth and one in Winder. According to report in valleycenteral to help with the holiday hustle, all U.S. Postal Service locations in the Valley have extended their Saturday Hours:

  • McAllen Post Office: 8:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
  • Harlingen Post Office: 8:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
  • Edinburg Post Office: 8:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
  • San Benito Post Office: 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
  • Weslaco Post Office: 9:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
